Mad Decent Mondays: THUGSTEP Summit (6/20/2011)

Excuse my giddyness, but allow us to poke our chest out a little bit. If you’ve been on this ride since mid-2006, you should understand how fly of a co-sign this is. THUGSTEP has been a humorous tag affixed to Nappy‘s dubstep refixes for a bit, that turned into a brand that’s gotten hype from many spots across the globe. You might have chose to not listen. You might have chose to sort out your own dubstep refixes and put some weak(er) name to the sound you thought you were brilliantly sorting out. Or you could’ve just ignored it, and acted as if we were not here. As if DJ Nappy was just sitting somewhere in the corner, twiddling his thumbs. He told you he was coming home hard, and boy has he. From last week’s Sub Heat party in Chicago to aligning with DJ Hipnotikk in the A for Bubblicious, as well as touching down in Tennessee last night. On Monday, he’ll be at Fluid in Philly for the Mad Decent Mondays THUGSTEP Summit party, alongside the likes of MC Buddy Leezle, the Future Thug Dr. Ew and of course the Mad Decent Mondays resident DJs.
